Stage Les P'tits Gaumais du Jazz 2025

Stage Les P'tits Gaumais du Jazz 2025

Come create a live show with the flavors of the continents with Laurent Blondiau (Mâäk), Bakanaï, and prepare an innovative art exhibition!

This musical and pictorial art workshop is a classic, organized alongside the Gaume Jazz Festival for young people aged 4 to 14 (divided into age groups).

A music option is available for young musicians (minimum 2 years of instrumental practice): "P'tits Gaumais Instrumentiste" (Little Gaumais Instrumentalists).

When? From Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8, 2025
+ concert on Saturday, August 9 in Rossignol on the Gaume Jazz Festival stage
Where? At the Rossignol municipal school (Rue du Vieux Moulin, 66 – 6730 Rossignol)

Target Audience

This workshop is intended for all young people between 4 and 14 years old who wish to express themselves through art and music. Budding musicians with at least two years of instrumental practice can sign up for the "Little Gaumais Instrumentalist" option to participate in the show with their instrument.

Campsite Highlights

• Artistic Expression and Creation – The multidisciplinary focus of this camp resonates particularly well with young audiences, who are often eager to express their creativity.

Sharing, Exhibition, and Performance – While the week is already rich in sharing for the children, the culmination of an artistic exhibition and a performance on a stage at the Gaume Jazz Festival is also a great pleasure for families.

Objectives

By combining artistic practices other than musical ones, the primary objectives of the camp are to offer a vibrant space for expression and creation for children and young adolescents, to introduce them to the world of jazz and its many facets, and to teach them to love music through a fun project and active teaching. It fosters cultural and interpersonal development, including creativity, cultural encounters, and learning about community life (dialogue, sharing, expression, respect, listening, curiosity, etc.).

The Program

The 2025 theme has been launched: create a live performance with the flavors of the continents with Laurent Blondiau (Mäâk) + prepare an innovative art exhibition.

Organized from Monday, August 4 to Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Rossignol School, this course allows young people aged 4 to 14 to express themselves through music and the visual arts during a week that is both fun and educational. As every year, the musical and artistic creations will be featured in a performance on Saturday on the Gaume Jazz Festival stage, as well as an exhibition in the park.

Educational Support

This year, Laurent Blondiau will be taking on the musical and artistic theme: two experts in their field, whom we'll tell you more about soon. They're joining the regular team, much to the delight of the children!

The P'tits Gaumais du Jazz will be supervised by a multidisciplinary team:
- Visual Arts: Blandine Gillet, Maud Stilmant, Valentina Scavuzzo, Annabelle Kaloo
- Music: Laurent Blondiau, Giovanna Sacco, Marie Otjacques, Mahila Gaut
- Choreography: Valérie Sciannamea
-…
