Sisters Rakhi and Simmy Singh want to break open the boundaries of classical music. As the offspring of a British mother and Indian father, they carry various cultural influences into their music. In a richly varied concert programme, they combine traditionals from diverse music legacies, from bluegrass to Hildegard von Bingen, from their own work to Bulgarian folk music. The common thread is the two violins, which, just like the sisters, versatilely adapt to any genre.
