It’s a bit of his secret garden that Jean-Pierre Froidebise will reveal, a little-known facet of his personality. Known for decades as a guitarist and singer – he has accompanied Christiane Stefanski, Pierre Rapsat, BJ. Scott and tours with his own projects like Such a Noise – he also has a passion for writing, for words, for poetry.

Since he was 14, he has been constantly writing, compiling quotes, inventing aphorisms whether on scraps of paper, small notebooks or even on Facebook. According to him, this part of his life is even more important than his status as a bluesman and rocker.

During the pandemic, deprived of the stage, he brought together many of his texts in a “Survival manual for artists in hostile environments”. And then came the idea of bringing this work on stage, in a solo show.

With his guitar or seated behind a few accessories, he chooses to read several of his texts, recalls some notable stories and even recurring dreams and lets loose, among other things, on what the music industry is today.

A fan of the short circuit, he does not sell his book in bookstores but at the end of the performance. It will also be an opportunity for him to present his new work:

“230 music lessons, 117 of which are completely unusable.”
