This project explores the music and rhythms of Brazilian culture.Brazilian musicians are always on the lookout for new influences for their music, so it's constantly evolving.
Nilson Matta, born in São Paulo, won a Grammy award with Joe Henderson.
New York has been his home base since the late 80s, but he still plays regularly in Brazil and the rest of the world with the Da Paz trio.
Brought up on Brazilian rhythms and mixing them with jazz, he is certainly one of the precursors of this crossbreeding.
Saxophonist John Snauwaert has made several trips to the land of samba, and has worked for many years with bassist Nilson Matta.
