Michel Hatzigeorgiou born in Charleroi of Greek parents. In 1983, he met Toots Thielemans with whom he played for over 20 years. That same year, he will also collaborate with the greatest genius of electric bass, Jaco Pastorius. Member of AKA MOON, one of the most fertile groups of the recent Belgian Jazz&Rock scene since 1992. To date, they have recorded more than 25 albums. In recent years, Michel has collaborated with various artists such as: Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Fabrizio Cassol and Alain Platel, Daan, Kris Dane, David Linx, Sinister Sister… He released his own album “La Basse d’Orphée” in 2015.
