Halewynstichting - Jazzcursus - BJO-Summer School Optie

This year, the Halewyn Foundation, in collaboration with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, is once again anchoring the big band repertoire in operation in order to bring everyone into contact with this typical jazz style. In this way, this jazz course ensures the continuity of the big band in the musical landscape and makes the public and jazz lovers aware of this genre. In the morning you will join the course instrument program, from the afternoon onwards you will study in big band sections and from the end of the afternoon onwards there will be tutti rehearsals. A week of intense collaboration and jamming with musicians who live for big bands, jazz, and improvisation. Take your level up a notch because a week playing in a big band, accompanied by the best musicians in the BJO... could change your life!

Teaching staff: Marc Godfroid (trombone), Lennert Baerts (sax) and big band leader Frank Vaganée (sax), Bart Denolf (bass) and Toni Vitacolonna (drums).

There is only a place left for one pianist, 1 guitarist, 1 alto-, 2 tenor and 1 baritone saxophonist, two trumpeters, and two trombonists.
