Pauline Leblond Double Quartet

Pauline Leblond paid a lot of attention to the baroque music before her move to the Jazz, the way in which she evolves now. By surrounding herself with musicians of the worlds classic and Jazz, she proposes you in first part of the concert, an original work in three movements, " 22.1030", composed for a classical string quartet playing together with a quartet of jazz, marrying these two universes so distant in the time but nevertheless so close. We find in these two style of music the same taste for the melodic ascendancy, for the tones sometimes harmonious sometimes dissonant, as well as for the research for a ‘sound'. Traveling from the counterpoint to the chorale (polyphony) via the improvisation, this work has especially the will to look for a common language and to release the differences of sound and phrasing; mixing these diversities trying to merge them. The second part will be purely jazz and the group reduced to the Jazz quartet, will propose you standards of the repertoire.
