Nabou Claerhout's roaring trombone is the sound of an emerging talent. As a very young player, she already got the opportunity to play with the likes of Bert Joris, Dave Holland, Dave Douglas and Akua Naru. That says a lot. With her quartet, simply named N∆BOU, she approaches her instrument in a strikingly personal way, creating a unique sound with innovative effects and refreshing compositions. To accomplish this, Claerhout surrounded herself with three other major talents you might recognize from HAST, Tsar B, Oko Yono and Joshua Redman.
