Inspired by Brad Mehldau, Jacky Terrasson & Stefano Bollani The Marc Sperber Trio explores the Standards of our time and the most recent past.
As diverse as their nationalities are, so also is the repertoire of these new young jazz talents. It consists not only of original compositions and songs such as Blackbird (Beatles), Sting and Libertango (A. Piazolla) [The New Standards] but also of great classics such as My Favorite Things and Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, which the Trio enlivens through a fresh jazzy influence derived from Bill Evans and McCoy Tyner and Co.
