The Leaves that Hung but Never Grew

Composer Christian Klinkenberg presents a unique musical and narrative experience. Seven musicians join storyteller Suse Weisse to weave a tale of lost love, an evil witch, an enchanted tree, and the mysterious leaves that hung but never grew. The story is drawn from a collection by Daniel Morden, with the English text also provided by him. Suse Weisse's narrative is adapted from Morden's "The Leaves that Hung but Never Grew" found in his book "Dark Tales from the Woods."

The music for this project is composed in the Bohlen-Pierce scale, an octave-less microtonal tuning system. This distinctive musical framework promises a truly evocative and immersive experience for listeners.
